MYOB Premier Enterprise

MYOB Premier Enterprise is the next step up from MYOB Premier in the MYOB accounting software family. MYOB Premier Enterprise includes all the features that are found in MYOB Premier, but in addition offers remote data access, negative inventory management (so your inventory can go into minus quantities), and the ability to manage inventory across multiple locations.

It's good to understand exactly what 'remote data access' means. MYOB Premier Enterprise has been developed for use on networks running Windows Server 2003 in a Terminal Services environment. If you’re working in a demanding network environment, maybe with a large company file and several simultaneous users, then Terminal Services is the only solution if you don’t want to get bogged down with speed problems. With Terminal Services, the server does all the processing and the workstation screens only display changes; keyboard strokes and mouse clicks are sent through the network. The networked workstations act as dumb terminals, merely displaying these updates from the server. The result is speed, with workstations humming along happily even if they’re a lowly 486.

Although you can run the regular version of MYOB Premier in a Terminal Services environment (enjoying the speed advantages without the additional costs of MYOB Premier Enterprise), if you’re starting from scratch, MYOB Premier Enterprise works out fairly cost-effective. MYOB Premier Enterprise includes a five-user licence, five Terminal Server Client Access licences, and a year’s full support and product upgrades. The price tag is $3,950.
