QuickBooks EasyStart

QuickBooks EasyStart is the entry-level product in the QuickBooks small business software family. Businesses using this product include architects, gardeners, home-based consultants and musicians.

Although QuickBooks EasyStart has fewer features than its bigger brothers and sisters, this version’s simplicity can work to your advantage: Because you have less to learn, your chances of making a mess are massively reduced!

QuickBooks EasyStart features

Here's a few things that QuickBooks EasyStart does do: 

• Keeps track of revenue and expenses
• Produces basic financial reports, such as Profit & Loss reports and Balance Sheets
• Provides your accountant with everything they need to do your end of year tax
• Calculates GST and prints out a Business Activity Statement (cash-based only)
• Generates invoices for customers and tracks how much you're owed

And for a few of the things that QuickBooks EasyStart doesn't do:

• It doesn't keep track of inventory
• It can't track separate jobs or cost centres, and doesn't have quote or estimates
• Can't offer sophisticated reporting
• Doesn't keep track of how much you owe suppliers
• It doesn't have any payroll features

 The price ranges from $125 to $140, depending on who has the best deal running right now.
