QuickBooks Premier Enterprise
QuickBooks Premier Enterprise is the next step up from QuickBooks Premier in the QuickBooks accounting software family. QuickBooks Premier Enterprise includes all the features that are found in QuickBooks Premier, but in addition offers remote data access, and enhanced user security management that allows you to give employees access to the information and activities they need to do their job while restricting access to confidential financial information. It's good to understand exactly what 'remote data access' means. QuickBooks Premier Enterprise has been developed for use on networks running Windows Server 2003 in a Terminal Services environment. If you’re working in a demanding network environment, maybe with a large company file and several simultaneous users, then Terminal Services is the only solution if you don’t want to get bogged down with speed problems. With Terminal Services, the server does all the processing and the workstation screens only display changes; keyboard strokes and mouse clicks are sent through the network. The networked workstations act as dumb terminals, merely displaying these updates from the server. The result is speed, with workstations humming along happily even if they’re a lowly 486. The other thing about remote access is that it opens up multi-site and multi-company reporting, connecting multiple locations and remote employees. Parent companies and head offices can also combine reports with QuickBooks Enterprise to access data from subsidiaries, divisions or branches. Note: Although QuickBooks Enterprise allows up to 30 users to work on a company file at the same time, the initial purchase includes 10 licences only. Additional licences are required for 15, 20 and 30 multi-users.
